[The Life Travels of a 20-Something Girl] Mom's Visit - August 8th-17th « The Life Travels of a 20-Something ...: We weren’t allowed to take pictures (go figure, in the most beautiful place of all), but I managed to sneak some in on my phone.  The artwork and the detail that went into creating it is just breathtaking.  Speaking of breathtaking, not only did we hang around the floor of the Cathedral, my Aunt, Uncle and I decided to talk up the some 520 steps to the top of the dome!  It wasn’t too bad actually…the only parts I really didn’t like is when the passageway you’re climbing up becomes so narrow that you have to crouch and walk through sideways to get through – or as my Uncle so nicely put it, it’s like “being Reborn!”.  The climb was definitely worth it though because we got some amazing views!
