[Media Mewsings] The Catgirl Critics Media Mewsings for July, 2008!: The design of the different generations of robots are impeccable, and the barren Earth is an environmental wreck, yet it is a hauntingly beautiful world for the Last Robot on Earth. WALL-E is instantly realistic, loveable, smart but sometimes accident purrone, heroic, industrious, brave, sad and lonely- as much a range of emotions as if he were and organic human. EVE is sleek and gleaming, nimble and quick, but has a bit of a temper and an itchy trigger finger. She quite cute when soaring around- when she doesn’t think anyone is watching. Nevertheless he makes her giggle.
[Chris's Invincible Super-Blog] The Week In Ink: July 2, 2008: One thing I forgot to mention in that post: The same idea’s already been done right by Marvel, when they did the hardcover for Agents of ATLAS. You don’t need any prior knowledge of those characters whatsoever to enjoy Jeff Parker and Leonard Kirk’s awesome book, but by throwing their Golden Age Appearances into the collection, they provided a nice easter egg for people who were curious, like me.
[THE BEAT] DC Month-to-Month Sales May 2008: Now, if it’s indeed just the retailers who misjudged the situation here, then that shouldn’t pose much of a problem for DC: Orders will be adjusted, sales will go up, there will be reprints and positive buzz, and the recent negative sales trends for DC’s mainstream line may even be reversed. If retailers’s vote of no confidence is an accurate reflection of the market, however, and if there’s as massive a disconnect between DC and the market as the May numbers suggest, however, it’s going to be quite an uphill struggle for the DC Universe line, which will require some fundamental changes in direction.
[DC World.it - Daily Planet] Vendite DC mese-per-mese: Maggio 2008: Looking at the May chart, and presuming that half the books print run didnt fall off a truck somewhere, it seems were a little closer to the answer now. And for DC, its not a pleasant answer.
